Dear EVOlutionaries,

We’ve talked a lot about a great morning routine, but why does so little get said about a great evening routine?

In my opinion, the evening routine is even more important than your morning routine.

Why?

Because it sets you up for success the next day.

Think about it: you’re creating the perfect day the night before by preparing for it. You’re helping your future self.

It’s like a new person will be born tomorrow, and you’re putting in the time to ensure they’re set up for success.

Imagine sabotaging your future self by going to bed late, chugging caffeine, or downing a few too many drinks. Success, productivity, flow—all the good stuff—happen when you prepare the night before. So, let’s set ourselves up for success.

The Importance of Reviewing Your Day

A key part of planning the next day is reviewing your day before. Even if you missed your EVO planning or had a horrible day, it’s crucial to review it and ask yourself: What can make tomorrow awesome? Setting that intention the night before means you wake up ready to live it. No major pivots in the morning—just a smooth transition into an awesome day.

Perfect Evening Routines for Each Brain Type

Architects

  1. Plan Tomorrow: Use your Evo planner to map out your tasks. Visualize your day in chunks and set priorities.

  2. Unwind with a Puzzle or Strategy Game: Engage your mind in a relaxing yet stimulating way. It’s a great way to transition from work mode to rest.

  3. Reflect: Spend 10 minutes reviewing your day. Note what went well and what could improve. Set a single, clear intention for tomorrow.

  1. Creative Wind-Down: Engage in a creative activity. Draw, write, or play music. Let your imagination flow.

  2. Gratitude Journal: Write down three things you’re grateful for. Shift your focus to the positive.

  3. Visualize Your Dreams: Spend 5-10 minutes imagining your future. Visualize your goals as if you’ve already achieved them.

  2. Adventure Planning: Plan a small adventure or new experience for the next day. Keep your spirit excited.

  3. Set Tomorrow’s Excitement: Reflect on what excited you today and how you can carry that energy into tomorrow. Set a fun intention for the day ahead.

By personalizing your evening routine, you’re not just ending the day right—you’re setting up the next day for success.
